After years of DJing, the parties and events seemed the same, the music everyone wanted seemed the same, and my once explosive beginning began to plateau. I upgraded every aspect of my equipment and molded the atmosphere at every event to be fun, but I could not help but notice that I was in stage 3, a budding blue-chip, no longer growth-oriented. I needed something new and I recognized that people deserved better...
I re-focused on bringing innovation to every event - weddings, corporate, festivals, or clubs, and opened myself up to a new range of opportunities. No longer was I only focused on those events grandiose, and, ironically, by doing this I allowed myself to scale back but also move forward at the same time.
Personally, the events I love are those for which I can research and tailor my open-format style of DJing and performance towards a particular crowd. As I continue to grow my DJ portfolio and add to the 29 corporate and wedding events along with the 75+ party events, I want to set a higher bar for DJing, and show more people the level at which we should all have fun.
This is what every turntablist, DJ, or both, should strive for. This is what I plan to bring at YOUR next event. Nothing playlisted, everything custom, a higher level of DJ integrity & a true music service.
